Holding the date

Only upon transfer of the retainer and completion of this form will we be able to then hold your date for you.
As of Jan 10th 2017 we anticipate that we will be set to accept payment by credit cards.
Till then, th next step is just to transfer the retainer by online transfer or by stopping in to an Bank Discount and depositing the retainer into the account we will email to you.
Once you have booked Holy Simcha Entertainment by way of a retainer, your date is reserved just for you.
Your date will be saved for you and all the event details can be coordinated.
Understandably, due to heavy demand, we can only hold the order for any given date for the first person to transfer a retainer.
Upon transferring, please send me the last four digits of the bank account from which the transfer has been made and we will send you a confirmation.
In case of changes Of course if you need to make date or venue changes we will do our utmost to accommodate to the best of our ability and with reason. If there is to be any change in any part of the agreement especially time, place or date, services or price those changes must be mutually agreed to and stated explicitly via email in this email thread. Understandably, when booking any vendor services it is critically important that we have clear expectations and communication throughout the process.
As is standard practice, without a written confirmation that we agree to deliver services on a place, date or time different than those specified on in our emails AND the online booking form, we will assume that the event will take place at the date, time, place and for the fee detailed and the full fee will be charged to cover our losses. Planning the event When we get nearer to you date, give us a call and we will schedule the perfect time to go over all of the details of your event like, schedule, music style, etc.

Term and conditions: ·For outdoor events, Contract is valid rain or shine, unless rain date is specified on contract. Client must provide waterproof covering for HOLY SIMCHA DJ workers and equipment overhead, regardless of rain or shine. ·HOLY SIMCHA DJ shall have the right to photograph and/or record (audio and/or video) the event. Consent is given to HOLY SIMCHA DJ to use such material for purposes of advertising & promoting HOLY SIMCHA DJ and its services to prospective clients. ·Since the DJ (and/or crew) will be on the road for two hours before and two hours after your event, please provide a meal for all members of HOLY SIMCHA DJ, whether it’s the cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, buffet or sandwiches. ·All deposits are non-refundable. ·Once the Contract is signed, if any non-DJ extra entertainment is cancelled by client within 90 days of event, 50% Payment is due. If DJ Entertainment is cancelled within 90 days of event, payment is due in full, except in extreme cases, which shall be up to the discretion of HOLY SIMCHA DJ.
IN CASE YOU WILL BE RENTING A PROJECTOR FROM US (read the following)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON SCREENING A SLIDESHOW OR VIDEO PRESENTATION BEWARE THAT MANY MAC LAPTOPS DO NOT HAVE AN HDMI OR VGA PORT. THEY THEREFORE REQUIRE AN ADAPTOR THAT THE MAC USER MUST PROVIDE IN ORDER TO CONNECT TO OUR PROJECTS.
Imagine what happens at many bar/bet mitzvah events. There is so much excitement about the slideshow. Our aim is of course to do our best to be sure that the presentation is screened in the most professional way possible. Of course the setting up of the projector in a different venue each night has it's challenges. We need time to set it up and set up the electric, the video and the sound connections and balance all of these. The process requires a dance floor completely cleared of people, adults, teens and children, so that no one is tripping over the wires. It also requires a table, which we do not provide, but must be provided, about hip high to place the projector onto. Some venues have a table for this. Others have a "shtender" that can be made flat. Some venues do not have either. In that case we ask the party planner or baal hasimcha to provide one. The process requires some patience on our part and yours. It is advised that when writing the program, you schedule the the slideshow screening to come after the meal or after dessert, that way we have time to set it up. Because when adding a new device or media to the sound system we always want to pre-test before we show the content to the audience, I've therefore tend to add an introduction to the slideshow. The purpose of the introduction is to test that the sound is coming through. This way we can be assured that the audience will not be viewing the slides until we are positive that the sound is working well. This is why it is so important that you send us your slideshow well before the event. Bring the MP4 or AVI movie file on a disc on key as well. Do not bring power point presentation files. The setting up of the projector can take about 10 minutes (longer if you do not send up the MP4 file a week prior to the event)and it needs to be done with full concentration on our part so please do not ask up anything during this process. It would very helpful , in fact if you could appoint an adult from your stand guard over the projector to make sure that no children bump into it or touch the lens, or make shadow puppets, or block the projection with their heads. Also please let us know if the venue has a large white or off white wall that would make a great projection surface.
